GRASS-FED, QUEER-LED DAIRY AND CREAMERY
WHY WE FARM
Shepherd Moon Farm lives at the intersection of land stewardship and social justice work. On 222 hilly acres in Central Vermont, we raise sheep, make cheese, and grow community with care, intention, and joy.
We believe farming is both a political and creative act—a practice of connection, restoration, and play. We are growing food and we are also working towards a future of collective liberation for all.
ABOUT OUR FARM
HOW WE FARM
From managed intensive grazing to nurturing soil health, we farm in harmony with nature to support resilient ecosystems. Our methods provide our sheep with the best-quality grazing. Our priority? To steward both the land and the animals on our farm sustainably.
COMMUNITY COLLABORATION
We take a hands-on approach to collaboration, rooted in shared stewardship and community care. By working together to honor the land, share responsibilities, and create nourishing foods, we’re building a farm that reflects the values of equity and connection.
WHAT WE PRODUCE
Our farm is an ever-growing adventure. We raise sheep for meat and make artisanal sheep’s milk cheese . We also sell sheepskins and whey-fed pork. Everything we do reflects our commitment to intentional and thoughtful farming and production methods.
